you need photoshop / paintshop or similar. I use Paint.NET which is great (and free)

mybannermaker.com is also a good alterative to start you off mate..

Yeah, that looks pretty good Smith57, I like. How did you create the light effect from the headlights of the car on the left, or was that just how the picture you used was?

that is a fantastic tool once you get used to it. However you don't really need that to come up with a banner. Take a good picture and upload online to some online image editing website (there was one named piknik or so!) ... get a good crop and there you have it ...

They're 35/105mm lens flares in Photoshop mate! Dunno if that bannermaker or an online thing will have them! Can add them in for you if you want once you're done though!
