How does the 0-60 run work? How do they know when you've reached 60?

And who is the 1 person who's having a go?

NM on the who's doing the 0-60, seen it in the other thread.

Still interested in how the 0-60 works though.

They have a beam on the start line which triggers the timing equipment to start once the beam is broken. Then they just have a radar like the police which stops the clock as soon as it's registering 60mph.

It's OK, just wondering if it might be cheaper if you stayed a bit further away, but then you're not too close to Sixfeields, the town etc.

ive just been looking and this is what I have found so far...

Campanile Northampton - £49 per night, £147 for 3 nights
Travelodge Upton Way - Not giving any availability anymore
Premier Inn Harpole - Fri/Sat/Sun = £48/£60/£29 So £108 if we leave Sunday, or £137 if we leave Monday

and what is looking like the winner for me atm...

Ibis Hotel Northampton Centre - €119 for 3 nights (€129 incl breakfast)
Parking is £5.50 per day though, but will still work out cheaper than the rest...
