havnt had much luck since owning my horn when in the bad rain we had went down a massive pot hole put the tracking out then had to get two new front tyres and now just when to check my tyre pressure and the back passenger side is 15 psi so i think i need another new tyre and have a slow punture my local tyre place wanted £150 each for nero zero p tyres so i got toyo t1r instead on the front at £107 each so dont really want to pay that again

where would the best place to buy tyres and have them fitted too ?

If you can find a local garage to fit them ( mine is £8 each fitted)

order them online http://www.camskill.co.uk/

As for which ones it's personal choice just stay away from the p-zeros as they are rubbish.

The alternative to camskill is Blackcircles http://www.blackcircles.com/

I found blackcircles to be a few quid cheaper than camskill on the T1-R's (not ordered yet though) at around £64 each.

As for fitting, I tend to take them to a small local garage, its not like much can go wrong with the fitting. Near me I can quite easily get all 4 fit, balanced with new valves for £30.

What did you think of the T1-R's on the ST? I had them on my last car and they seemed quite good.

I've had Toyo's on mine for the last four years (not the same set for that time!) and found them to stick really well.

As I live five minutes from Camskill's I just go down there when I need some new ones.

All New Tyres www.allnewtyres.co.uk in Macclesfield do mail-order tyres.

Today's prices:-

Pirelli P Zero Nero £87.57

Toyo T1R £70.05

Falken ZE912 £51.01

Obviously there is a small carriage charge and you will have to pay someone to fit.

So so far we have the following prices inc vat, fully delivered for Toyo T1-R's (just as an idea). I've included the non-fitted price too as some places don't provide a fitting service:

Site..........................Price Fitted.......Price Not-Fitted

Blackcircles.com..............£313.68............£265.58
Tyreshopper.co.uk............£341.20............N/A
Camskill.co.uk.................N/A..................£277.04
eba_y_tyre.store (ebay)...N/A..................£283.00
Topgearshop (ebay).........N/A..................£284.00
Allnewtyres.co.uk.............N/A.................£290.16

Is anybody able to beat those prices?

It probably won't be relevant to that many people, but I've added the fitting price for Camskill based on what I paid the last time I got a full new set:

Site..........................Price Fitted.......Price Not-Fitted

Blackcircles.com..............£313.68............£265.58
Tyreshopper.co.uk.............£341.20............N/A
Camskill.co.uk................£318.00............£277.04
eba_y_tyre.store (ebay).......N/A................£283.00
Topgearshop (ebay)............N/A................£284.00
Allnewtyres.co.uk.............N/A................£290.16

To throw into the equation I had Avon ZZ3s and Toyo T1Rs during my ST ownership. £65-70 a tyre fitted was what I paid, both tyres recommended

This is a first for me.

Over the last 14 years, as some of you may know, i've always changed my car every 12 months ( a discount thing), but my is now just over 2 years old from new.

Leaving work today a guy who i know said, that tyre looks a bit bald Kev.

When i got home and looked i couldn't believe it; The outside of my passenger front is shot!

I drove down to the nearest 'Quick fit' and they quoted the cheapest 'replacements' all round would be £368.00

I've looked through the links on here, and am going for a set of 4 Toyo Proxes T1-R's to be delivered = £306.96
Fitting & ballance price will be £30.(Not by Quick s**t)!

Thanks for the links guys.
