From what I can tell it seems to be a Mazda 2.0L engine. Is this correct? Does anyone know if it has a cam belt or if it is on a chain?

Cheers

OOps it's in the specs - Camshaft drive: Silent inverted-tooth chain with hydralic tensioner.

Yep. the 2.0L engine Duratec is a Mazda engine, whereas the lower capacity engines ford badge as 'Duratec' are actually re-named Zetec SE engines. The Fiesta ST cams are chain driven, not belt, yeah.

Actually that's the first think I looked at when reading the Fiesta ST specs before ordering as I was coming from a Cosworth with a broken cam belt!!! I did not want anything with a belt any more, at least for a while...
