I searched and only really saw vague answers.. I've got a bit of spare cash lying around at the end of this month so I was going to order a K&N 57i but im not sure how much difference it actually would make?

Orrr do i save my money and go for a wheel refurb at the end of this month?

Cheers,
Dave.

K&N might give small gains, just a couple of BHP, not really noticible. Maybe a bit smoother, but the main reason to buy it is the sound. The sound is awesome.
Some people have had improved MPG too.
Just helps the engine breathe better

Hmm yeah i've seen people say it makes a big improvement and others that say its minimal, just trying to get a scope really.. I had one of my vts lol and it made no difference at all. But the air flow on the ST is loong.

Get one. You'll love it and for me it definately feels more responsive/powerful and the sound after 3000rpm is awesome

It was covered in one of the mags, think the K&N was about 10bhp on top

Get one. Ive had mine for about 2 months now. They sound amazing especially in a tunnel :-)

Feels more responsive and i have noticed an increase in mpg while cruising.

They are really easy to fit also. Im no mechanic and it took me 20 mins to do.

Its a must do mod for any

Its cheap, easy to do yourself and even if u dont get any bhp gains, you sure will get noise gains

the mountune 185 sounds awesome doing that, getting upto about 6500-7k revs changing gear the echo of the bang is great

do they actually pop and bang then... dont mean too sound stupid lol...

the only 2 ways my 1.4 will do it is overrun with the clutch switch taken off... safe too say the cats fubered now... took me a year too work it out... or again without the clutch switch on again booting it and changing at just over 4k and get a nice but hard too hear pop

anyone want too try this on a de-cat... should get some awsome popping and banging... maybe a flame if you have the non-resonated with a de-cat

its mapped in to pop and bang when changing gear and on the run down! sounds great i will have to record it for you.

i had a full decatted system on my old fez, it was even louder than the mountune, you wont get it to pop flames without a turbo fords just dont ever pop flames unless your turbod
