well you can drive with them going but eventually they will go and you will have to get a new clutch your probably get one before it goes as the sound is unbearable specially in traffic and people look at you funny. service wouldn't of picked up on it mate because it wont effect the clutch until they completely go. Ride it out until it gets too much for you mate i guess thats the only thing you can do if you want peace of mind take it back to ford explain the problem and as for their opinion

Exhaust or handbrake cable?
I didn't think my exhaust was making any noise, even strapped it up with rope to try and stop it, greased the mounts and it stopped straight away...
