dont let ford do a bearing! they are £40 max for parts, if you jack the car up and try to wobble the wheel and its loose then yes its going if your wheel is solid and doesnt rock its totally fine.


and my mates st did 15K on pirellis from new! they never wear out! i cant believe they would go so quick they are solid rubber

With regard to tyres, they lasted far too long with me, best thing you will ever do is ditch those p zeros, awful tyres!

Yep think they are the same as the focus ones. (Ford being cheap )

Can't comment on ebc ones as i've never used them.

£180 exc VAT for the bearing they want! That doesn't even include labour.

Anyone got a part number I need for the bearing? I'm handy with a spanner so I'm going to sort that and the pads myself!

Local garage charged me 25 for a rear bearing when they was inspecting the rear brake shoes (apparently) dont know on labour but i would rather let a garage do a bearing then me as you need a press...

Damn Fords!

With regard to breaks, I got EBC OEM standard breaks on my old and they where much cheaper than the ford ones, seemed ok but where only on my car about 7 months then my car was written off so cant comment on how long they last

Brakes

i heard after getting wet the EBC discs tend to rust up really quickly, compared to OEM, im sure this must have an impact on disc health and the state of your brake pads
