nothing will move by undoing those two nuts on the shocks aslong as the car is on the flat!

i did that nut up as tight as i could, i believe it is meant to be torqued up but i dont know what to!

by "flat" you mean on the straight surface, not jacket up?
So they are part of tightening the shocks?

yeah i mean not jacked up!

they hold the top of the shock in place, but the weight of the car will keep them in place!

ok, today I installed the strut. it went in without any problems exactly on the 4 bolts, but, now I'm unsure, do I need to tighten the nut holding 2 sides or not. I tried and it doesn't budge a mm. I even tried with the long steel bar I sticked on the cutted wrench (yeah, I destroyed one of the wrenches just for this ).

I tried goggling a bit and there are many opinions. Some say that it just needs to fit the 4 bolts after which you just tighten them and that's it. Some say you need to tighten the strut, and some even say you need to installed it when the car is jacked-up on the front.
cheers.
