Right guys n gals on my way home from ford fair I passed a red fez st and it looked the nuts. The back wheels looked ace it looked as if the back of the car was a lot wider than the front. So does any body have any pics of spacers I've seen goodyears but they don't look the same as this 1 did also how wide can I go with spacers and coilovers fitted

Could have been the 20,5mm spacer then http://www.part-box.com/product_info.php?products_id=20336 Cheaper than the 12.5mm one too (buy 70p )

I was going to buy 20mm but was recommended by everyone even pumaspeed to go for the 12.5mm, mainly because when lowered you can get quite abit of wheel catching ive had a little catching but that only been going over quite bumpy roads and mine isnt lowered

The wheel catching with 20.5mm is wrong unless you go extremely low (over 40mm). I've got bilstein B12 suspension and 20.5mm spacers with absolutely no issues.

That is with the standard 205/40/17 wheels. I have managed to get them to rub slightly once (for a tiny split second) when I was doing 95+mph down a fairly bumpy country road trying to keep up with my friend's 350z (private road of course ). This was exceptional circumstances though and I don't expect to do it again anytime soon.

One thing to note, if you feel behind where the bumper joins the arch edge, there is a pretty sharp spike that sticks towards a tyres slightly. Well worth making sure you're not going to rub therefore.

I would say go for the 20.5mm spacers. They set the rear end off great and are no more difficult to fit.

I imagine the reason Goodyear's rub is something to do with the standard suspension in his car. The ST is firmer.

I have coilovers with 12.5mm spacers on the rear, I wouldn't want anymore tbh

mine has the same suspension from the zetec s so probably the reason, i like the 20mm but very happy with just the 12.5mm

i find the 12.5 are awesome, on the track on sunday they increase grip on the rear but not too much to make you understeer, the back was still able to slightly slide

Yep, it's all to do with what you're happy with. I'm sure the 12.5mm make a huge difference and really set the back end off.

I took the risk with the 20.5mm on the basis that they were no more expensive and if I did have issues I could very easily swap over at minimal cost (fit myself). I'm very very pleased with the results.

I'll get some pics up afterwards, I posted them on another thread on here about a month ago if anyone can find it?
