they are very easy to do mate! need to undo the brake fluid bottle to release the pressure, then undo the 2 nuts on the back of the caliper and it will come off the disc with the pads in, then you push the piston back, put the new pads in and slide it back over the disc and then do the nuts back up and your done

Jack car up. Remove wheels. Undo the bottom bolt on the side of the caliper (13mm). Get a screwdriver and prize the caliper upwards, from the bottom, away from the disc. Remove brake pads. Clean slide area, and ensure new pads fit in nicely, allowing them to slide when brake is applied. Grease the top and bottom of the pads, where it slides on the caliper housing. Undo the bleed nipple (8 or 10mm) a few turns, brake fluid will run out. Get some grips and push the piston all the way in, being careful as this will push more fluid out. Tighten nipple (Not to though, may break if you do). Push caliper back down into place, and tighten the bottom 13mm bolt. Check fluid level.
Job done.
(The reason I say undo the nipple is because when you push the caliper in, the fluid goes back up into the master cylinder, sometimes blowing the seal, which then means replacing the master cylinder.

So you just replaced brake pads... Just a consumable...
Same as spark plugs, belts, oil filters
If you have massive brake upgrade it's a bit different, putting bigger discs on
