45L tank  you may find the car is having a hissy haha.... just reset it back to 0 (the total average MPG)

Yeah i just poped in to tesco because i couldn't be bothered to go mission to shell and dont really like filling up there tbh - but still it shouldn't be telling me only 30miles in a tank when the gauge is reading more.. lol
Tired to reset and it beeps but nothing happens :/ Lol filled it up the other day and it worked fine

This is normal Dave.
The Amber light comes on when 50 miles is left, just under 1/4 of a tank.
The RED light comes on when your down to 10 miles to empty.
So if the Red light was on and you put £10 in, it will not take you over the 1/4 guage and so the light will still be on.
Once the gets under a 1/4, the trip puter has a mind of it's own 'sometimes'.
Don't dissconnect the battery, this may only cause other issues.... number one being .... have you got the radio code, loads of members have had issues with not having their number. 
Wack £20-£25 in when you can, and the trip comes back to life.
To note: after owning 5 's the trip really isn't that accurate, it's more of a guideline gadget.
Ahh i see now, Cheers Kev i'll fill up later and hopefully that should sort out the problem!

Depends on temperature as well, that's why f1 is done on weight, as it expands and contracts

I parked up the other night, 51 miles left, went out next day, 65 miles left. When i got home 53 miles left. Next day start up, 64 miles left
