years ago when i had a mk1 mondeo, they was all plug and play, the variable wipe was built into the wiper stalk arm, so may be the same for the fiesta.

yeah i have read this before, which is why i would like someone with an ST, to check what wires are in the connector in the ST

If you look closely you'll notice there are 10 sockets and 13 wires:

mine only has 9 of the sockets used, but has more than 9 wires, i think its to be expected

I also find it annoying that you have to adjust it by stopping and starting becasue its easily reset if you just want a quick wipe
