For anyone considering lowering/watching threads/worried about camber/shocks/ blah just get it done. Honestly, best mod. The car feels so much better on the road and is much better overall to drive. No difference for me in tire wear or anything like that. Any of these major concerns would have appeared ages ago when people first started lowering 's when they came out in 04...

DO IT MATE!!
looks miles better, handles better and doesn't really effect anything else!
I've not noticed a major difference in ride comfort and if there is a slight one its defo worth it for the pro's that lowering brings
As you're in Northampton you could try Puma Build in Birmingham (Perry Barr) they fitted mine for £60
bargain

I'll have to throw something in here.

Gary - When you lower the car it has less roll (meaning it doesn't tip so much). This gives a flatter cornering action... it can give you more speed but the key point that is gives is control. With a flatter entry you have much better control to correct the car through the corner as it understeers initially and then oversteers (due to front wheel drive). A blip on the throttle and a few quick corrections on the wheel sorts you out whilst sliding around the corner.

If there is somewhere to take you out in the next year i'll show you how it works.

Springs are simple to change mate. All you need is some spring compressors, and a socket set. Or, take all the struts off and take them to a garge and ask them to swap the springs over. Its 30 minutes work for them and will cost approx £30.
