Wellll, I know it will be a bit of a trek for me but I think I can just about stretch to travelling up for this one.

Seriously it should be good, and just noticed thats easter bank holiday weekend as well, so should be a good chance for people to make it.

yeh. i agree. well i have ALSO emailed the place back to see if we can have a separate group tour, so date might be different, but to get people's responses so we know numbers - as that will dictate if we get a private tour or not.

So far then:

I want x2 tix
Chris Cumbria x1
PLEASE ADD NAMES to thread with number of tix req'd
Oh - Alex and his mate want one so that is 5 so far....

######## update ##########

We can commandeer (soley for ST board people) a 'private' tour if there is about 15 or 20 of us, on 17th JUNE 2006.

I thought this might be better, as it could be combined with the RALLY day at Castle Combe - I know this might suit Swiss Nick better in terms of travelling and I think it makes sense..

What do people think. Please post a reply with your preferred date and no. of tix required.

I still need to double check and still not sure I could make it but April 15 sounds more feasable for me. I defenetly won't be able to make the June date as I'm tied up with a major company event for two weeks.

It is along way for you to come from Switzerland and especially as you are coming over again in July. Would be good to see though.

Yep, I'm a little surprised as well at the amount of interest shown. It will be a really cool meet. A rare chance to get to go round Fords WRC factory, see what goes on and to see the cars. Also a good chance for everyone to get some really nice pics taken of their cars.

So anyone who would like to go please put their names down ASAP to help ChrisSuss get it booked, and then we can all start looking forward to it. Both dates are still quite some time away which should help people get time off to come up here.

Anyone not coming 'cos they can't/don't want to drive that far I'd be happy to pick you up if that helps.

If anyone's interested PM me.

Sorry, should've offered earlier but only just occured to me that I'll be travelling all that way with 3 spare seats (4 passengers will be too cramped).

No worries Gareth. I realise it is a long way for many people to travel up, and anything that can help people to come will be a great help.

Hopefully this might get a bit of last minute extra interest. But anyone that hasn't put their name forwards yet who wishes to come PLEASE speak up now, thanks.

Also I do NOT want any petrol money, a pint will do me just fine.

Chris, I trust you have a nice photoshoot location lined up?
I'll bring my laptop if needed so people don't have to worry about their memory cards.

As you may guess I'm looking forward to this meet.

I shall be driving up with my car Gareth and many people will have to pass me on the way up so we will have to make plans to convoy there.

Chris knows the area well and im sure he will take us to some really nice locations. I wish to do a photoshoot up there which will be nice

I shall also be taking my laptop for piccies

Thats a really nice offer of you and it would be great is people took up the offer and came along!!!

Well those were amongst the places I was thinking of. Don't go TOO close to to the bottom of that pic though, or we might get a bit wet. Seriously it would be great to get everyones cars lined up along the harbourside, and I know a great spot for getting that lake at the back of the pic into the background.

Lets pick out the highlight of that piccy though:

Sounds great, i shall be looking forwards to it. Gives me chance to stretch my cars legs and also use my camera again

Oh and not forgetting the whole purpose of this, the WRC Rally Visit... that will really be great to see!!!

Lol good point actually. Whilst it obviously great to get some nice shots taken, that will just be a good bonus, shouldn't forget the main reason for people coming up in the first place!! It will be really good getting to see everything thats goes on there, and to see not just the current cars but some of the historic rally cars as well.

OK then. LAST CALL..

Responses I have are:

Me (of course) + 1.
Swiss Nick (kinda sound like a gangster or someone out of Lock Stock lol)
Scotty
Gareth
Chris(Cumbria)
Alex + 1
6 chaps / ladies (assorted) who own RS200's

That's 14 of us so should be a great weekend. Small problem MIGHT be numbers, as the guy at Rallytravel said there were only 11 spaces on the AM tour and 9 on the PM tour - so whether we are happy to split up on the day?? PLEASE LET ME HAVE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS.

Cost is £35.00 each. This is going to be £490.00..... not being tight or anything and I do trust people, but it's a hell of a lot of money and it needs to be paid up front... So we can do one of two ways:

a.) You pay me (somehow - erm bank transfer would be preferred)
b.) I 'book' it with M-Sport and tell them that everyone will call them up same day and pay over the dog and bone.

What do people prefer?

Re travelling up, I'll of course get Nick from Gatwick on the way, am planning on stopping over in Birmingham to break the journey up then Fri night and Sat night at hotel nearish to M-Sport (well as close as is do-able) then another stop in Birmingham en route back. What are other people thinking?

Cos Im not really online too regularly now, can everyone email me to confirm their agreement with splitting up AM / PM tours and re payment etc.

DO NOT EMAIL ME SPAM, my work's server will block it, but don't be a muppett please Email: E-mail Removed Please Contract FiestaRS via PM

SCOTTY / MODS - when this is all sorted and I've posted to confirm all is arranged, can someone please DELETE this message so as my email address isn't forever on here.

Cheers chaps (and ladies).

Will indeed, thanks for sorting things out Chris.

I've been for a bit of a ride out today, and already found some great places in the lakes within reasonable distance of m-sport HQ for the photoshoot so providing things don't get too busy with it being a bank holiday weekend should all be good.

Hi all, newbie here, been looking round on fiestastoc for a bit, but very quiet, then i ofund you guys, much more my scene(!)

Hoping to get the order in soon for a Colorado, bog standard (bar for iPod socket).

I've been to M-Sport twice (once with RS OC, once with TeamFordracing.net (phew that takes me back...), and i must say that if you can make it, do it, you definitely won't regret it. The design and manufacture rooms, together with the test workshops and main workshop itself are absoultely stunning.

Couple of pics below. If i can get delivery of my by then, and there's still room, i'll put my name down for sure...!!!

My Flight back is only on Monday morning (8:45). I will book a hotel near Gatwick so as long as I can check in the night before I'm OK with staying for part of sunday afternoon.

Don't be silly Amanda. It will be great to meet you. It's a shame already that you could cannot make the Msport visit the least we can do is stretch out a little to accomodate for an extra photoshoot which will include your silver .

Just something I thought I should maybe remind people of. Obviously I'm not sure what stage everyone is with regard to getting accomadation sorted that weekend, but with it being Easter bank holiday weekend the area will get busy so just thought I should remind everyone not to wait till the last minute before getting a hotel booked. I wouldn't want to see anyone having problems with this.

Thanks
Chris

Indeed and it will be the best time to bring it as the convoy will be great fun and also the pictures in the summer will be much better

Don't worry Nick, it would cost a fortune for you to bring your car every time you visit the UK. We shall see it again in the summer!

Just waiting for ChrisSussex to sort out accommodation.

Correct, there is one just on the outskirts of Whitehaven at Howgate, so thats always an option for people if they are struggling to find somewhere.

TBH I'm a little surprised as well that they've gone for that, especially given the Whitehaven ones closer to m-sport as well. I'm not sure which one exactly they've gone for since theres three travel inns in carlisle, all fairly close to the M6, but unless its the northern one in Kingstown (so a little way out) then should take a litle less than that to travel - unless its busy it takes me about 50 mins to an hour to get to Warwick Road in Carlisle (which is where one of the other travel inns is at).

It was MrSussex, he made me book there, it's the travel lodge on the M6 services (Southwaite), I'll look into rebooking now, is Travel Ins Whithaven Howgate the closest?

Arr I know where you mean now. Yep, the Howgate is closer. Its just 12 miles from M-sport and obviously its right outside Whitehaven which is where we shall be meeting up on the Sunday.

It will make things easier if everyones stopping fairly close together, and also for when people convoy for the journey, so thanks m8.

It's no problem Nick, it was easier to book all the rooms at the same time, especially as ChrisS won't be online for a few days.

There may be a spare ticket left for this, see this thread:

Spare Ticket/Place

Your best bet would be to send a private message to ChrisSussex, and see if its still available.
