Hi guys,

My steering has been feeling a bit heavier than normal recently. Any ideas? I did recently fit a strut brace but don't remember it feeling heavier straight after it's fitting. Tyre pressures seem ok also

Will do when it's light again tomorrow. It wasn't serviced that long ago though so I'll be a bit pissed off if it is this!

No, not when I drive normally. It does if I drive hard but that has always been the case (as discussed in another thread )

they don't change PAS fluid in a service btw, unless you know otherwise it's likely that the fluid has NEVER been changed.

Fair enough but they could at least give me an advisory for it - surely they are supposed to check levels etc. services aren't exactly cheap

I'm not sure they even check it, PAS fluid is supposed to last 100'000 miles or something stupid although of course this is never the case, I've replaced mine twice and my ST has only done 30k miles.

It's a joke if they don't - what if you'd had a bad leak?! I mean I check the levels but there are so many drivers on the road that don't even know how to check their oil / change their wheels etc that rely on their service! (Women for example... )

Is it easy to change it? ive had mine 4 years full ford service history and if ford done change it i guess its in need of a change!

I don't have a trolley jack either but i don't see why it needs to be jacked up is there a reason for this??

Other than that it seems pretty simple from that guide.
