Right i bought front and back pagid disks from eurocarparts and i have put the fronts on today to realize the pads overlap the edge of the disks by 8mm. I checked google on my phone and found a few sites what say this is normal on certain cars and it is ok.
To me though, this doesn't look safe at all? Do i need different front pads or do i need to send these disks back? since they are smaller than the original disks what was on my ST.
Have eurocarparts sent me the wrong disks or do i need other smaller pads for these Pagid disks? If that is possible?
Check the parts number on the box and it matches the parts number on the site for a Fiesta ST.
you possibly have the smaller discs.... standered mk6 discs are 258mm and the ST has 280 or near as... be worth measuring the discs as it sounds like you have the 258mm front discs... sounds stupid but you havent put em on wrong? the rear discs are non vented i belive but it is possible there the wrong way
8mm past the pads = 16mm shorter on total diameter plus allowing a tiny amount for the rim of the disc which i would say is 2mm = 4mm total diameter.... 16 + 4 = 20mm shorter discs which sounds like your problem
So have eurocarparts sent me the wrong disks? Fu*ked if they have as it gone dark now so can't swap them back over which means ill be late for work tomorrow.
Knew i should of put my original disks back on. Fcuk sake.....My own fault for listening to google shitty search results....
