Hi,

just wanted to know how easy or hard it is to change the power steering pipe as mine has a leak. Also is ford the only place to get it from? a rough price would be great

you can use any piping that you use for fuel... think the pipes 10mm maybe wrong though.... are you sure its a pipe leaking...

yeah it is leaking, its like from a metal adaptor. I will post picture if no one has any idea.

If you dom is it just the case of replacing the adaptor?

be carefull, If I got this right it might be that this "adapter" your refering to is the bloody valve. put some photo up.
this thing costs a fortune to fix :-(.

Hi, went down to ford want Ģ94.36 without VAT for the pipe, its part number F1465853.

So gonna look at around for a second hand one

Can you not go to a hydraulic hose company and get them to make one? Will defiantly be cheaper!

I think you can't because of this bloody valve, if this is the line we are talking about.
My friend had the same problem. He didn't know about the valve and just replaced with the ordinary hose. It didn't work properly and had to go back to Ford :-(

If so I was advised it's like this on most people's. Mine never gets any worse than this and there's never any dripping onto the floor...
