Can anyone recommend me a good trolley jack that isn't to expensive that will allow me to get the car up on axle stands?

Probably a sealey would be your best bet. Cheap and pretty good quality.

Does the halfords one lift the car up more than enough to get it on some axle stands? I was looking at that one but a mate said it wasn't so good

Ahh good stuff! What about a lowered car will it fit underneath ok? Sorry for all the questions by the way going to be attempting a few things like lowering myself in the coming months so just trying to get some of the kit to do it.

Dan... no it won't... you have to drive the car onto a brick/piece of wood.

I've had the halfords one for years now... fantastic!!!

Thats the set I bought a few weeks ago, the roller board is brilliant, no shuffling about on your back

I priced up a Trolley Jack and Axle stands individually and they came to more than the 5 piece set.
