I know there have been a few posts on this before, but I need new wipers and was thinking of getting the flat bladed ones. There Is a set on eBay including which includes the rear wiper arm. I've had problems before with wipers on an old car that when going pretty quick the wipers wouldn't clean the windows properly as they were lifting a bit, as they didn't have the wee spoiler on them. Can anyone tell me how the flat wipers perform, and will I have the same problem?

I have the personal experience that cheap flat wipers from ebay are crap.
Some people say the cheap ones are fine and work great.

I pay about 40 euros for a set of SWF (BMW, Merc, Audi standard) wipers that are really good. Even the wipers were over a year old, they yellow spot saying the life as over was there, but still they wiped loads better than new cheap ones from ebay.

Personal choice really, but I'm never buying cheap wipers again

when it comes to wipers i found that the cheapest is never value for money.

i always get better or manufacturers ones.

i think we have all been in those situations when it rains and you get mega pissed off at the wipers which are crap

Fordpartsuk set for about £27 not the cheapest but they are bloody good for the money. Had mine for more than a year now and still going strong. They have wear indicators too so you know when to change them

Dan. Do they come with the rear wiper arm to, or do I have to get that separate, also do they come with everything I need to change from the old style wipers?

My rear one was off ebay. Think it came off a Clio

Someone on here posted a pic up of a rear one that was a mini version of the flat wipers for the front...

My bad this is just the front! Got my back smooth wiper on eBay for £10 that's also still going strong!

Cheers guys.

Dan, as per your advice I've ordered the front ones from fordpartsuk, I'll report back on there performance as I'm sure I'll get to use them soon being up here on Scotland!

some are described as such and are not. Get the genuine ones, they wipe amazing and far outlast the original thin rubber ford blades. They should be one single piece if thick rubber.
