My 30th birthday is coming up and I am fairly certain I want a watch.

As I usually find when I am looking for an expensive-ish item, I start looking further afield.

I started off looking at Invicta watches, which I had never heard of, but stumbled across them, and they were well priced and nice looking. Christopher Ward watches I also stumbled across at this time...
I then moved on to thinking maybe I should get a watch which will always be... worth something I guess...

I looked at Tissot and saw some nice ones and then... I moved onto Oris... and I love one of the F1 Williams watches! Problem is my original thought was to spend £250, Tissot pushed it up slightly and now I have seen this one... it is nearly £1k...

I really want to try and keep it under £500.

I wondered if anyone had any ideas on where to get Oris watches cheaper... Ebay has some, but I suspect I will be taking a risk if it was to develop a fault AND will probably get stung for tax on imports....

There are several variations, but this is the one I have been hunting for more cheaply Oris F1

Can anyone help? Thank you!!!

ebay they most likely will be fakes mate.

Google turkish jewellery/watches.

I got mine over there platinum/emerald metal one of a kind, you will not see this watch anywhere else i paid some like £250 (725 Turkish Lira). extremely cheap as Turkey does not have tax or at least when i went, on precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum etc etc.

I had it valued 4-5 years ago in 3 independant jewellers and one major well known jeweller ( Goldsmiths)

£800
£900
£799

£930

That would be it's value if i decided to sell it on to them, theres no telling if i did that would be up for sale for a lot more than that.

Theres nothing snazzy about my watch its very basic, but the value of the metal is beyond reasonable.

I reckon now it's worth a lot more due to the precious metal now has shot up per gram.

to replace the pin it cost my mum few years ago £89 plus £20 labour.

I'll get a picture of it when im home im at work this morning as i said nothing OTT but its worth a lot of money.

Turkish jewellery for the win

Cheers for the input Stason, definitely be good to see what it looks like

I had hoped for a stream of replies with 50% off UK stores or something, but I guess I was hoping a bit much
