Hi all

Have any of you done the chip on your ???? I wana do mine cozz she feels a bit sick and I want to get more HP....And i have a prob when i start my car..Some times she doesnt wana start up normaly!!!! do you think a chip will make a big diff in performance or what???

Afaik a chip for the ST is not available (yet) due to the almost impossible to crack ECU. Your starting problem is a common one and not specific to the ST but mk6's as a whole. Dealerships will try and tell you about an upgrade on the ECU to cure the problem but it doesnt really.

is your ST a late 2004 or early 2005 model? i ask because when they were first released ford rushed the calibration to meet the date and it ended up with all sort of problems, including poor starting, pinking, hunting and overrevving when cold, they do offer an update cal now, my f/l fez has a well sorted cal compared to my old 1!
