Having cleaned my throttle body yesterday I am feeling handy enough to attempt a home service when it is next due

I know I should invest in some axle stands but live with my parents and don't have rights to a lot of space in the garage. My shooting and fishing gear, and a bottle of 5w30 is about all the room I've got.

If I buy axle stands, will I be able to use them safely without using a trolley jack?

Yeah, my trolley has a fluid leak so used the Ford jack to get it high enough for the stands then took it off the jack. Job done.

The axle stands so say not to use one at a time though
so dont think its advisable to jack up one side at a time and leave just one axel stand in.... although this is exactly what I did when I painted my calipers
