My car is booked in for the mountune mp165 on Monday. Just gave my insurance a ring to declare all the mods (I'm with Elephant). I want to make sure I've not missed anything...they didn't have the kit/upgrade on record so I had to declare each mod separately...which was:

ECU Remap which I said increases performance by 10% (cause they asked by how much).
Full exhaust system to which they said 'non standard exhaust?' I said yes.
Then I tried to tell them about the induction kit and they got a bit confused and said air filter? I said yes air filter.

So, is what I have declared correct? Just don't want them to record the items incorrectly.

They charged me £88 which is not bad really. I kept £200 aside in case they had a fit and charged me loads but credit to them as they really didn't mind. So just over £25 a mod I am happy with.

I don't have the kit but sounds about right to me. I thought most insurers had the 165/185 kit listed, obviously not!

There is an abi code but it appears to be just for 2008 cars

yep that is fine, whether they interpret ful exhaust to include manifold not sure, but you answered their questions, do you have to fill a form in about these for your effectively requote for a new policy kind of.
ABI codes are linked to the kits so insurers can just pull the code up and they know exactly what the modification is, pre-approved by the insurers if you like, so they can quote easily on it.
