Glad to join the forum. Have seen some good posts here.
I'm coming from an BMW e30 320i (soon to be sold) and my better half's saxo vtr (part ex'd for the ST).
We've had the ST for a week which was an ex demo and i've done a couple of 100+ mile runs already. Great little car that has grown up loads since I last owned a mk1. Fiesta
I've just ordered a K&N 57i kit and am really looking forward to fitting it when it arrives.

Happy driving to you all.

Hi there

Welcome to the forum Johnny.

Glad that you're enjoying your and also reading the posts on this forum.

I'm sure you will have noticed a BIG change from when you drove a Mk1 Fiesta in the past!

Try and get some pics up of your car if you get the chance.

Take care
ChrisC

Hi Johnny,

Welcome to the site.

What colour did you get? Did you get any options or is it standard?

Crofty136. Defo a secret for now. I've only tried things out on an art package but you know how things can look different in the flesh. An example which springs to mind is the Chrysler 300c which I saw on the motorway the other day.
I thought this was an excellent looking car when I saw it on top gear and in photos but on the road it only looked so so though the the front did impress.
I have blue with white stripes one. No ford extras as yet (only three weeks old) though the Ford salesman who had driven it previously had fitted blue bulbs for the parking lights which look very nice especially when it's just them and the fogs.
The ST has such a huge grin factor attached in that I actually haven't seen more than 3 on my travels (with stripes anyway which make it stand out) and I still catch young and oldbreaking their necks to see it as I drive past. I have also found when driving up the motorway that people are moving out of the way well in advance even though i'm not speeing up their behinds. I could never get them to do that in my beema or saxo unless I pressed them or flashed them.

Actually one thing I have noticed that's different from many of the pics I've seen is that I have full leather seats. Does that count as an option?

Yes it is an optional extra. You can either have the partial leather seats (unheated) or get the full leather heated seats for extra.

Cool. Extra it is then as they are indeed heated. None too impressed as to the location of the on off switch for it though. I had been in my friends audi tt for a trip to Liverpool and enjoyed variable heat settings, easy to reach controls and 'warms your back' too. Ford has one setting cook your ass. Works well enough tho.
Shame that you are anti bimma Fordie the 6 cylinder ride and build quality isn't matched by the Ford even at 17 years old. But i'm not about to compare two totally different cars as I do like the Fiesta loads. It has grown up really well.
Are blue lights illegal? I've past loads of cops and my other half was stopped for speeding the other day (LMAO) but they never mentioned it to her (I'm not talking 'dipped beam' mind just 'side lights')
I'll get a pic up tomorrow hopefully. Assuming I can take a snap with a digital cam and upload straight to the site.
Oh come on..... It has to be a pick with side lights and fogs (tho I don't drive around like that as I'm sure the cops would be all over me then).

Either you've got a problem with your eyes and shouldn't be on the road.
OR
You're a chav and still shouldn't be alive.
