Keep my car as clean as possible over the winter?
I.e. protect it?

Just jet washed it earlier. Then it got dark so couldn't start properly working on it.

I'm gonna start tomorrow with Autoglym shampoo, clean wheels, plastic + vinyl care, super resin polish and 3M glass cleaner.

What else should I be using?

I know there are a fair few other threads like this but I just wanted a definitive answer

Haha neither have I for about the last 3 months but it's seriously disgraceful at the moment
Even one of my friends said "wow you're car is really dirty" and she knows nothing/ doesn't care about cars

with AG stuff, i used deep shine to bring the colour back a bit and then extra gloss protection.

hadnt washed my car for 2 months and the car was still looking really shiny apart from a bit of dirt

Not to drive it simple answer

Wash it weekly and dont let salt build up on it, i always used to give my run around a quick rinse no wax no proper wash, in theory it dilutes dirt and salt off the paintwork.

Actually by leaving your car really dirty puts up a thin layer of protection against salt and muck.

My run around died last week and it was £500 to fix it so i got myself a company car dirty diesel.

when the salt goes down, give her a good hose/jet wash off every couple of days and keep on top of it

wash it often, a clean car allows dirt to fall off rather then build up ontop of more dirt, less dirt = less damage when you do wash it.

Get a good layer of wax on there and will make the wash process so much easier and quicker.

Which was is up to you but autoglym hd, collinite (not sure which one) and megs #16 are the most commonly used.
I'm using chemical guys xxx harcore wax.
