WHAT A DAY My first Trackday on the 675 and only my second Trackday full stop.....
Prep’d the bike last night as i had to be at Brands for 730am and got up to it raining and it being soaking bloody wet on the track, i mean fully wet!! But with 6 sessions all day it had plenty of time to dry out.
First 3 sessions were sooooo slippery with a few twitchy moments so was taking it super careful, shame my mate on his Blade didn’t listen to my advice............. OUCH!!
The track was drying nicely during lunch and sessions 4-6 were 100% dry, time to see what i could do on her!! My confidence was up, my riding felt great and consistent 1:03’s were being ticked off. Really got in a rythmn and spent all three sessions overtaking and LAPPING people to my amazement, going round the outside of some at Clearways was just brilliant!!
Had some great comments off people saying how i was “flying out there” and that just spurred me on. Had a little moment at Graham Hill Bend (its on camera, caught up to a guy really quickly and had knowhere to go, mis judged slightly & little bit of grass tracking but no biggy)
The tyres were super sticky and performed awesome (Pirelli Super Corsa’s btw 10/10) and really allowed me push her and she LOVED IT!!
