Christ Tom, you did have too much oil lol. I have PM'd you, sorry it took a while, been doing a little overtime.
I would drain about half of what you have in that bucket again, and you should be okay then.
For everyone's info, to drain the g/box, you require a multi spline.

Lol, just glad to be off assitance. If you have any issues or whatever in the future, just give me a message and I'll answer you straight after work.
P.s. I would reccommend, if finances aren't to hard, maybe draining another litre and shoving a pot of slick 50 into the oil. Great stuff for performance cars, and really prolongs engine life.

i thought the only way to drop the gearbox oil was remove the box. or pull a shaft out (which you would need to do to drop the box)

I've torn a hole in a gear box from doing a wheel spin, high revs and flicked the clutch, made an almighty bang! Shitty french thing couldn't handle the excitement. Citroen AX I recall. I don't do this any more. It hurts the bank.

Where can I purchase myself some of this for a good price? I'm going to need to prolong my engine life after what I've done for it. Would I know if I'd damaged the engine by now? As I've been drivi9ng it with all that extra oil since the very start of September :/

I had a citroen Ax...For about a week. It didn't enjoy being on it's roof so that relationship was never going to work out.
Tom, if there was going to be damage, you'd know by now (The engine would rattle and bang). Go to a local motor factors, it should be around the £20 mark.

I had a citreon ax too and that ended up on it's roof too. Infact I had it on it's roof about 6 times, when I Was 16 on a friends farm where he had a spare field and we just trashed cars on em. We had a little banger circuit going on lol.
