Since fitting the flexi, i can smell exhaust fumes coming from vents and stinks the car out, i tightened the gaskets and nuts and bolts tight, along with the air flow sensor.

Does anyone know why this is happening? As its due an MOT soon and dont want it failing.

Any ideas would be great peeps.

Thanks

if its a mongoose it will only last a few days lol

but have you checked for any leaks etc, start the car up from cold and put your hand on the flexi and see if you can feel any leaks, dont worry the exhaust/flexi takes about 5 mins to get hot

How long has the flexi been on the car?

If it's only a few days .. they all do that, it's burning off the oily coating that is on the brand new flexi .. it will all be fine in a few days.

If the flexi has been on for some time, it's got a leak .. most probably from one of the gaskets.
