Temp gauge shows the same as it always did. I think it sits bang in the middle.

Have you got a notebook? Or laptop?

I have an OBD2 reader and that tells me intake temps and readings off of most sensors. Temp of water, calculated load. Rpm. Speed. Map sensor

Yeah I have a laptop. I see there are some diagnostic things on amazon but I'd not know what to get!

So I got that unit off amazon and it showed up no faults so I don't know what is next. Might take her to a lad who lives nearby to have a look.

Mine dropped to an AVERAGE of about 24mpg last year when it was cold. It has to use to much more fuel to get up to the temp it needs to expect your fuel consumption to be dire! If you're resetting the MPG all the while it can sometimes take a little while for it to settle down ive found

And ive had 130 miles to a tank before!

This time I got around 160 miles until the light come on but I have done another 20 miles and now it is showing 55 miles to empty so it keeps firing up and down.

I had an idea that maybe my KN induction kit is causing it - it has probably been in for 18 months and never cleaned!

Another update...

Tonight the tank was showing 1/4 full on the gauge. I filled up in the garage and it only took 26 litres to fill it. That means I have used only 19 litres to this tank so far. I had completed 160 miles.

It must be a problem with the level indicator. Before I filled up it was showing 52 miles to empty but yet it would appear that it still had 19 litres in the tanks. MPG readout is still in and around 30mpg.

She is due in for an MOT check very soon. What should I be asking them to check?
