Worth buying? 10bhp and 13 torque...apparently. Do you just plug these in or what?

Chips will ALWAYS work better with more mods.

ie You chip a standard ST, you're not going to see as big a gains as if you chip an ST with full exhaust and induction.

Oh right I see, the website made it seem like it was just 'this is what you get' kinda thing :/. i'll wait till I get my system then even though i'm probably only gonna a catback, can't really afford a whole system in one go.

same, buying bits and bobs gradually, more fun imo, when you start to get bored, buy another bit and your excited again for a month or too.

My plans : full exhaust including mannifold and sports or decat then 60mmtb + custom map. Hope to see 170+

Yeah I get you I always just wanna buy everything at once though, so I change my mind on what i'm actually buying every couple of days :P. I should think you'd be seeing that figure with them!!

indeed on non turbo cars bluefin is not worth buying unless you have cams full system sprorts cat, etc etc

Dubious on this.

There's a white ST in my area and it has the bleufin on it (Standard otherwise) and it will pull away from me fairly rapidly.

The bluefin will still boost the cars power figures but not nearly as much as with the above mods mentioned.

So in terms of worth it. It isn't on a standard car imo, it is if modded.

i suppose for £250 it is'nt bad really for a extra 10bhp and 13nm of torque.
ok you can get more power and that from the bits you mentioned like "full exhaust including mannifold and sports or decat then 60mmtb + custom map. Hope to see 170+", but when you weigh up the costs, i bet its not far off of a couple of thousand pounds for that lot b rand new.

You are spot on and the firgures I hope to gain are completely dependant on what the car was running prior to the above mods. So really I hope to see 20+ bhp for them not a set figure.

Apparently you can see up to 11bhp from a K&N but no1 can honestly say when they put one on they now beat all other standard STs with ease. It's a very shady subject area.

BUT you are completely right in what you are saying Alan.

If you get the blueflin stagem device thingy for the st it has 3 life's with it so you could (I may be wrong here) plug it in standard then when you have exhaust n filter then when u have all that and cissy inlet and cams

Please correct if I'm wrong

you will not need to reset the bluefin the ecu/bluefin will adapt to the mods but maybe a ecu reset will help
