Finally got round to ringing up a few garages about getting my springs fitted. My normal one said £80 but couldn't do it till next week, so I rang a few more, Formula 1 said they could do it today but needed to see everything to quote it. After looking at it for a few minutes he said ONE HOUR PER SPRING AND £280, what a flipping racket. I told him i'd been quoted £80 elsewhere and his reply was 'they haven't got a flipping clue what they're on about, snap their arm off'.

280 what a rip off. You should have said the springs cost less than that.

Some garages have the cheek anyway! Id tell them to fcuk off.

I was in shock lol. Especially after i'd already said 'I can change the back ones at home in less than 30 minutes'. Bloody fools.

Hope my local respected garage doesn't turn round and say something stupid like this when I get them to do mine!

Yeah we have everything at home apart from spring clamps. Nah none of my friends are into cars really, only one of them has a car and that's an alto, so I can't see him having any . 61 ain't really old
