Probably quite clear from the title what my issue is here;

Was trying to help next door jump start their car with leads but i couldn't open my bonnet (Which was highly emabrassing) Now im always sure the catch was in the middle under the bonnet but nothing was there last night , can anyone confirm this ?

you mean the little tab you pull to open the bonnet?
if so it pops out from sort of above the right hand side of the ford sign on the front grill.

What should happen when you pull the lever in the passenger footwell is the bonnet will lift and a "tongue" tab will move forwards which you can pull to release the bonnet. If the tab isn't appearing then check that it hasn't gone into the front grille.

On the top of the front grille you will see a bit of a recess in the plastic which is where the tab comes through, you might find that it has got stuck on the grille.

Other problems may be a sticking mechanism which may be more of a hassle.

Hopefully your 'tab' is not caught behind the front grill. Absolute stupid common fault

also the tongue can get caught behind the rubber on the bottom of the bonnet

Hope that this is not the case as I have no windscreen washer left ! Ford are probably closed for Xmas now so have to wait till next week to get checked.

Its a fairly easy fix dude, its probably gone behind the grille
