Hi guys,
I had never took an interest in the Fiesta STs, but I took a test drive in one today and its blown me away, almost set to order now!
Nice to see theres such a big community!
Now, where can I get decently priced insurance for a 22 year old..!!

Thanks mate, thats amazing! Only problem is, Im over here in Northern Ireland which adds the premium up!!
Also, what price should I be realistically looking at paying for a base ST facelift from a Ford Dealer? I'll be part exchanging a car in, but would be interested to know what price the dealer can actually do?

22 years old, was a named driver for 4 years, only been on my own insurance for the past 9 months. No claims or anything though. Adding my father onto my insurance made it down to £1700.
If I could find it for about £1200 I would go out and buy the car tomorrow!

Hi there Welcome to the forum mate. Hope you enjoy posting on here, we're all a friendly bunch, so feel free to ask any questions you may have. With insurance mine is with admiral as well (£553 at 26 with 2 years ncb) so thats not a lot of help really with the quote you've got. Maybe try somewhere like www.confused.com. Although it doesn't cover all insurers, they do list most of the ones they don't get quotes off, so at least you'll then know who else to try. Also www.moneysupermarket.com uses lots of insurers as well - I actually got a cheaper quote than what I'm paying from them, but didn't end up taking it because the excess was going to be a bit too high for me. With regards to what you can expect to get knocked off the list price from a dealer, try getting some quotes from online dealers first: www.coast2coastcars.co.uk www.broadspeed.co.uk or www.allbrandsnew.co.uk. Gareth off this site took in a quote from an online broker into a dealership and managed to get a couple of grand taken off, so it might work for you, certainly something that might be worth trying anyway. Hope this will be some help to you mate! Take care ChrisC

Thanks for all the tips - gonna spend this afternoon trying to get a decent quote!
£1200 and I'm there, the car will be bought this week!
Are the facelifted models worth it? Dealer quoted £13500 for a new facelift, or £11995 for a new pre-facelift?

Insurance wise still cant get it below £1700... any tips? Admiral seems to be the cheapest for sure!
