Hamilton has signed a contract for Mercedes today and Perez has signed for Mclaren.

not surprised at that to be honest. just hope it dont backfire for him. Great move for perez, hes got a big future based on his current performances

It was a coin toss between the both but Perez has shown more potential this season, so Mclaren grabbed him.

Great news for Perez, he had a choice between Ferrari and Mclaren and chose the right choice. He will be a free man at Mclaren where as at Ferrari he would be a 2nd man to Alonso and have no hope of getting anywhere with there strict 1 and 2 driver ways.

We will find out in 2014 if Hamilton has made the right choice, supposidly Brawn has promised him a winning car for 2014 since they are ahead of the rest with the new V6 turbo'ed engines that are coming in 2014.

Remember, Hamilton may not be as mature as the other champions be he ain't stupid. I'm sure he knows something about Merc we all don't.

Granted the extra breaks and extra bonus's such as more freedom with sponsors etc. he was still offered the exact same money by Mclaren to keep him. Guessing he wasn't happy with Jensen being Whitmarshes golden boy now, if Ron Dennis was still about Hamilton would still be at Mclaren, no ifs or buts.
