Just wondering does the ST have traction control? It should really considering the type of car it is.

No it doesn't mate, you can order ESP if you also order the reflex pack (side airbags) but thats nothing to do with traction control.

Well traction control is a part of the ESP program, it will brake any wheel that spins. But like chris said it aint standard on the car, its an extra.

I have ESP and I love it! It sounds like Danku should have his car serviced cause I don't have that behaviour. If you buy a new car today it should have ESP. Period.

I haven't driven an Fezz with ESP but I have had a go in the focus ST and all I'll say is it makes for a safer drive plus if you don't want it on you just turn it off, my next car will have it!

I think ESP is an excellent safety feature, it should be in all cars, but I do like the option of being able to turn it off too!

This is because as well as braking the wheels that have lost traction I think the ST ESP program also reduces engine power, probably by delaying the ignition timing, or as it is 'drive by wire' I suppose the computer could close the throttle even if you have the pedal to the floor. In short tho if you know there is a bump coming up in a straight line that makes ESP kick in, just turn it off. I wouldnt suggest trying it in a corner tho!
