Right guys bit of thinking going on in my head with these even though I'm not that mechanical minded.

So people are saying that when having a cossie inlet fitted they lose some low down toque. is it possible to counter this with other cams besides cossie 1s or would I be best getting a mountune inlet? not doing this till back end of this year anyway so I can save todo the lot together (ATM we all know what happens gets done early if you've got spare cash)

Go MP185 then MR200 to be easier mate

But if you want more power in the future don't go that way go Cossie Cams and Cossie inlet or Cossie Cams and MT Inlet

I'm leaning towards cossie cams n mt inlet but if I can get the low down toque with the cossie inlet and different cams I'll do that because I would prefer s**t loads of toque rather than bhp if they can map it that way

Good advice from Kaxe! But I'm not convinced Lee that cams and the inlet are really going to help low down torque in any way. Must admit I've not looked into cams for my own Fiesta as then I'm at the point of no return! But theoretically cams and the inlet would want to be tuned to a similar outcome (ie both for top end power rather than one boosting low end torque and one doing high end power)an ECU remap could help here but there wouldn't be too much point I'd have thought

Haha! Yeah I wouldn't have though it is possible. Might have to look into supercharging to get that low end pulling! Jamsport would be able to advise you best though I'm sure

full exhaust and K&N gain low down torque

add cams lose you low down torque

add a cossie inlet lose even more low down torque, will take you to standard torque again

add MR200 and you gain the low down torque the cams lost

Depends which cams you go for Lee

If they're the same spec piper cams as mountune use then yeah you wouldnt be far off, but if you go for cosworth then sort of unsure as i think the 200 spec cams are a bit more of a "wild" cam

What does the MR200 have extra to regain the torque?

The MR200 has a custom made inlet, 60mm TB and a remap over the 185 kit.

The 185 doesn't have a 60mm TB?!

Either way I'd only be missing the inlet if I got the cams. Tempting...
