hey guys well as u know i just purchased my st a few months back and was just wondering what is the rough time when brake pads should be replaced how long roughly do the standard pads last? ano this can vary on driving styles etc but just looking for a rough estimate the car is 4 years old and has just reached 19k thanks andy

When you got less then 6cm of pad left lol my standard pads lasted me 62K with at least 1000 miles left but depends on usage heavy braking track days or anything like that could be less a good indication you need new pads and brakes is the resistance on your pedal if you push and dont feel anything until the bottom thatsa good sign that the pads are low.

coming up five years and working better than ever, which usually means the pads are in tatters

Mine were absolutely fine at last MOT/service.

My car is almost 6 years old now and on my last service and MOT the original brakes weren't even advisory! Despite this I'll still be getting some more in time for the Europe trip

i replace mine when they start to grind.

mine were replaced a year ago so I should be ok for a while
