I don't have anything that opens "docx" files which I think are a later version of Word, I'm on XP with just Wordpad, think there is something I can download to be able to open these files ?

basically its a free version of MS office

What Stephen said

Open Office should be fine for this and also you can download MS Word Viewer as well if you just want to view the document....

I have the the free Open Office, didn't know it would open them, OO Writer opened it fine.
