im trying to get the seat latch off and have been having trouble i can see theres to clips that need to be pushed in, do i push them in from outside the housing or from inside where the actual handle lifts.

i dont want to snap it as its a new one on there

i cant seem to get the behind the clip to push them in

it's really difficult, there are 2 clips if i remember rightly, you need to push a flat head screwdriver from either side to release them- I couldn't see how you can get to the one below so unclipped the top then just yanked it out- might have snapped though so probs not the best idea

cheers for those links mate but have already seen those, iv tried everything and there just not budging, even had a couple of neighbors help.... the clips are hard to get behind if not impossible from the inside if the latch, so im guessing it needs to be done from outside of the housing....

what makes it worse is my uncle is a mechanic and he keeps saying he will do it but its been weeks! and both my seats need doing so i cant wait for him

oh yeah you access the clips from outside the housing
Push downwards from the top of the latch between the plastic housing and the seat fabric to unlock the top one
Bottom I couldn't undo so just yanked it off and it flew away
Then the new latch just slots in
