It seems that practically every photo on the site that has used Photobucket as an upload site isn't working?

That includes the photos in the monthly photography competitions and everything. Hmm, bad times.

A lot of photos have gone down as one of the four Photobucket accounts the site uses to back up everyones photos broke through the limit on Monday.

I was a bit annoyed about this as Photobucket have previously sent a warning out if we'd used 70% of the monthly bandwidth, which enable me to do stuff to prevent it breaching the limit. Unfortunately this time the first email I got was to say we'd exceeded the bandwidth limit. The photos will be back online tomorrow, however I'll keep a closer eye on things in the future to try and stop this happenning again.

No worries, it doesn't bother me too much. I just wasn't sure if it was something more serious.

Glad to know things are going to be up and running again soon.

CaptainMorley, take a look at the first post in this thread for example:

I was going to suggest, as the site is extremely busy, would a photobucket premium account be beneficial?

Doesn't it cost per image that is uploaded, or am I talking rubbish? If so, using photobucket is a good way of keeping site costs down

It was more the case that we weren't able to source the software needed to restore it, although even if we had with the amount of images on the site now it would probably have got prohibitively expensive by this time.

With regards to Nick's suggestion, the problem is if you upgrade to a premium Photobucket account then there's a bug in it that means all your links change... and you get the dreaded this image has been deleted message. It's only the second time in over three years that one of them has gone down, so if I keep an eye on things I'm sure it will be ok.

Chris, I think they've fixed that, I upgraded my account to a premium account a few months ago and my previous uploads kept the correct URL's
