why does my Re-Circ just blow more powerfully and warmer air with it ? what is the point of it, should it blow even cooler air ??

Do you have your 'recirc' button on all of the time Joddie 
If so, in certain conditions, if you don't have the windows down slightly, they will steam up because the system is recycling your exhaled breath.
