Hey guys,

So my car was last serviced at 14883 miles when I bought her, she just clocked over 22k now, and i'm thinking of booking her in for a service. Want a Ford dealer to do it so I have the service book etc stamped all by ford as it currently stands.

Basically just wondering on how much i'd be likely to pay? I have seen on the Vospers site for Plymouth, and I might be looking at £200ish.

Cheers in advance.

Boyde

I used to get a value service from SMC for £99. Any work that need doing i get my mate to do it and it still has a stamp - when they rememberer to actually stamp it that is

I now pay them just over a tenner a month for a service plan and dont pay anything on the day

I had a call back, quote of £230 for oil and filter changes. I asked with regards to brake pads and discs that may need replacing it would be extra, quite steep IMHO.

Shop around time :P

Mine is £145 for a full service but if you bring your own parts they knock the money off. Have to have mine done at the end of the month along with MOT and tax, yayyyyy..

Cool, i've emailed Tez because I found a few of his useful posts on what intervals the ST needs to be serviced at and what is done exactly.

I can get a local garage to service with parts that I buy personally, pretty sound like.

I phoned a different garage and he said that my car would be needing the 4 year point service which was to change oil and brake fluid, because other stuff would have been done on 3 year service.

My first one is booked for May at around £249
I get some discount when it comes to paying as I bought the car from the dealership...
But yes all prices as everything else in this country has gone up up up!

I seriously doubt your pads and discs need changing at 22k unless you drive the car hard every day
