Hey All,

I know a few people were interested in Camping on the Saturday night before Ford Fair at Silverstone. I understand a few of you have booked hotels. Are you able to cancel these without implication? (if you wanted to camp ofcourse).

We always have such a laugh camping so thought i'd throw a post up and see who's interested?

Comments welcome...

I quite like the idea of this even though I won't be able to join you guys personally as I'll be needing to arrive from outside the circuit on the Sunday in order to hand the tickets out to everyone. I'm sure anyone who does this will have a great time.

The camping is still outside the circuit and I believe we can still get out of Silverstone the other way and round to the services if we needed to... Or simply get into the circuit and then walk out and hide people their tickets as they arrive.

I'm still up for this. In answer to your second question, unforuntaely if we'd wanted a dedicated spot then it's something we'd have needed to apply for when we ordered our tickets. I wouldn't have thought it would be a problem finding some spaces together though.

Patrick had mentionned on the main Ford Fair thread the other day that it was something we needed to have sorted out as a club when we originally booked the stand ages ago, and therefore we'd thought it was too late and I think he was on about stopping at the Fort. However, I've just had a look into it myself and they're now saying that you can just turn up on the day and pay:

http://www.whittlebury.com/index.php?pag=cms&id=302&p=trax-&-ford-fair.html

If we do camp it will only be me, you Scott and possibly Patrick. If you're still interested even if it's only a few of us then I'm still happy to go along on Saturday.

You can pitch at any time I believe. As times ticking on, could I suggest I meet you and Scott at the carpark by The Wheatsheaf in Sheldon at 5pm? The postcode is B26 3EH.
