Hi All,
Has anyone painted the plastic grills and fogs with Plasticoat spray?
Just crossed my mind and wondered if it will do the job, and how long it would last.

Did mine last week mate, you'll need 4/5 cans to do all the plastics on the car depending on how light you are with your coats.

You can see the difference in the fog surround and the grille, I didn't go for a gloss finish but you can get a clearcoat from plastidip aswell.

(Yes I know my car needs cleaning!

Excellent, cheers mate

What prep did you carry out? Was it the same as if you actually going to paint them or did you just degrease and slap it on? Reason I ask is I've heard it can last a few weeks to several month's depending on level of prep.

Sorry for thread hijack OP

Just a quick degrease, washed them down and dried them. You can get primer and a clear overcoat if your worried about it fading/chipping! Mines survived 4 or 5 trips up and down the m6 for 50 odd miles so far.

had mine on since around December, done probably 6,000 miles, lots of back roads etc. No chips whatsoever

All i did for prep was wash with fairy liquid then thoroughly dry them then spray on 3 or 4 light coats- job done easiest thing in the world
