hey guys,
this has probably been asked a million zillion times but im thinking of sorting my my brakes out soon.
back ones seem to "grind" abit and the discs are looking worse for wear, front discs look ok but want some better pads
(while ive had the car since august 2010 the brakes have never been done )

so, i think im gonna go with a combo of EBC greenstuff pads and standard discs on the front and then probs just leave the back as standard.
however - wanted to know peoples opinions of ther greenstuff pads and what standard brakes to use (for cheap as skint at mo).
looked at ford standard, mintex standard and cant seem to find brembos to fit the front.

ooooh its all so confusing

thanks in advance

I have heard greenstuff is pretty useless...

Why don't you upgrade the fronts - you can do it for about £130 inc. discs and pads - about the same price as standard ebc green stuff, discs and shipping.

i have redstuff pads all round, cold they are useless but when you put heat in them they are rock solid pads.

one small problem though, they generate a LOT of brake dust.

what about apec? Dan said they were good- need to get some new pads myself, I will double check with everyone on here but at quick glance earlier they are near enough down to the disk on the back

thanks guys,
cant really afford to uprate the callipers tooo
might just stick standard discs (or the standard mintec ones) and get greenstuff pads on the front.

really wanted drilled and grooved cos they look pretty but no ££££ (too many FFST events to book lol) at the mo...my poor steve will have to suffer with cheap stuff lol!!

I personally would disagree with this, yes you might get improved braking but the life of your pads will go down drastically as the discs act like cheesegraters on the pads.

I've heard lots of good things about Pagid discs which Porsche use as standard (so they must be quite good right?).
