Recently I had been noticing a kind of rattling/squeaking coming from my car, when cleaning it yesterday and polishing the exhaust I realised some of the heat sheiks is loose and rubbing on the exhaust..what's the best way to reattach it? Baring in mind there isn't much room to play about with

Remove it mate. It's not needed...
They remove it when you fit an aftermarket exhaust system anyway which is on your to do list!

I think Ford are just really rubbish with these shields. Mine broke on my Focus, then my brothers Mondeo...then my Fiesta...

Is that the heat shield that runs under the car?

nah over the manifold Gary. All the tuning companies remove it as after market exhaust systems don't fit under it, only the standard pea shooter manifold does!
