Sorry to see this, especially with them not stopping. Is it worth reporting to the police? I'm not sure what the law is on whether it's still an offence to leave the scene of an accident if it's on private land.
Hi Ive been looking into this because our works car park has been rented off to another company as if there wasn't enough cars on there already ,how I would stand if one of them hit my car and drove off. (I assume this applies to Asda ,B&Q etc) From what I have read if someone can enter the property from the public highway unapposed ie no locked gate or security guard etc its not private land and if some one backs into your car the insurance deems it their fault. Perhaps some one could shed some more light on this. Saying that I think it would be an uphill struggle trying to claim.
