I think there are nicer shaped vents... It's something I Really wanted to do on mine but I'm concerned about the rain getting in... You can plate them over underneath but then they just become an expensive cosmetic mod

I think they would have some effect, it would be better if the K&N design wasn't for the filter to be wedged in that little gap. In my engine bay I have my battery relocated so that the filter can go towards the back of the bay and have a lot of open space around it. These vents would mean air flowed all over it.
I believe they're quite expensive to have fit though unless you're feeling a dab hand with your bodywork skills?

Milky, dont think youve quite understood me. i know they were cut into his bonnet, what im saying is i dont think his vents are actual vents that have aur going through them, he said just to save the pain of covering stuff up under the engine bay i he got rain water or washing it etc in there.
