Technical question here which somebody might, on the offchance, know the answer to.

On the Fiesta ST, the power steering reservoir flows directly into the power steering pump with no pipe inbetween. Does anybody know the external diameter of the piece on the reservoir that fits into the power steering pump?

I'm sure anybody who has made their own power steering relocation kit will know the answer to this.

If you look at the back of this item, the pipe that connects onto it connects into the ST pump

How would that piece of pipe stay in the Fiesta ST pump? What would hold it in?

From what I understand and have figured from having a quick look at mine, the Fiesta ST pump just has a hole for an inlet which the reservoir "plugs" into?

Yes, i've seen that too. I don't see any part on this pipe though which would bolt to the pump?

I'm a muppet, just understood what you meant. Presumably you can't really see it on this photo because it's bolted on the back.

Is the pipe removable from the fitting do you know Si? So that I can use one neat continuous piece of new pipe?

Don't suppose you know off hand what size pipe fits it? 19.5mm ID fuel hose? Just so that I can order some in advance.

Yes - it naturally bends the other way so chop it off near the bend or heat and modify the bend. I cant remember - i think from memory the pipe for both the focus PAS tank and that is 18mm but dont hold me to it as was 3 years ago when i made one lol

What would you say is a sensible price for me to pay for that pipe section? I've found a breakers with one but he said to make him an offer. I don't want to go in too low and him ignore me but I obviously don't want to pay too much.

Yeah exactly, I suppose he has to be bothered to actually unbolt it for me and post it, not sure I could be bothered for a couple of quid. I'll keep you all informed on my bartering.

Purchased. Got a mondeo PAS cooler off him cheap too. Playing with the idea of using the 7 row cooler I have now for the oil and using the mondeo PAS cooler for the power steering fluid.

Si, I saw on an old thread way back that you've done the oil cooler. Can you give me a bit of info? My main questions are:

- Do Mocal do a sandwich plate with thermostat built in?
- Would I need an uprated oil pump or anything to get the oil to flow to the cooler and back?
- Can I leave the filter where it is or do I relocate it?
