moved onto B12 setup this weekend after picking up a well priced second hand set.

Seeings as the kit is second hand, would the bedding in period be any different or still looking at 200 miles roughly?

Snap! Although I changed mine last weekend. I've probably done about 300 miles since and I've not noticed any difference, so I think it'll be as low as it's going to get. There's a couple of photos in a project thread for comparison.

im more concerned about ruining the tyres i had the springs changed earlier in the year, in the 300 miles afterwards before i got the alignment done i managed to turn the front tyres into slicks

I need to get my alignment and tracking checked too. Was going to get it done yesterday, but didn't have the energy to move off the sofa. :-( I'll have to get it done soon though.

i did 600 miles before tracking! could tell with every aspect of the car it was 100% better with it done!

Tyres getting Hot, the entire tyre wearing out, redicoulous fuel economy for motorway cruising, Speed, putting the power down!

i then found my right hand side was 4 Degrees out!

much improved once tracked up!

for me its not the miles that settles the suspension in, its time as well.
you can do 300 miles in a day, but the weight on the suspension hasnt really taken effect. it needs at least 2 - 3 weeks to settle in with doing a minimum of about 200 miles on it

I got my geometry checked today, no wonder my steering wheel was cockeyed! The toe was LH: +00°45' RH -00°08'. Both wheels now sit at +00°17', and my steering wheel is straight again!

All for the princely sum of £29.94, with a free check in 500 miles.

Drove about 100 miles today, and it's nice not to have to think about stopping it drifting when you're on a busy motorway! I does seem a little smoother, but the test will be my daily drive to work that I'm more familiar with.
